This is a nice short scale bass, very resonant body and tone, but I wish they used the later asymmetrical body shape. I’ve upgraded this from the low quality tuners to Hipshot ultralites. I had no issues with the stock bridge setup, and the pickups sound great, but it’s not very comfortable for “slap” bass with that big mudbucker up at the fretboard end. It does have the out of phase issue on the blend knob, but blend knobs aren’t the best at completely isolating two pickups near center, so just left or right of center will give you the not-out of phase middle pickup tone just fine.)
Comes in an Epiphone guitar case (these are that small!) and I’m throwing in the 5/16” (7.95mm) T-wrench I bought for the truss rod (I have no idea why Epiphone doesn’t ship their instruments with tools anymore.)
